For sufficient absorption, the liquid absorbent must be brought into full contact with the gas. The absorption methods adopted by our company's absorption towers are mainly spray absorption, bubble absorption, and membrane (filler) absorption.
The role of this tower is as follows:
1. Gas purification: The exhaust gas discharged during the production process often contains substances that pollute the environment, and it must be purified before discharge. For example, the absorbent is used to remove sulfur dioxide in the tail gas from the production of sulfuric acid and nitrogen oxides in the tail gas from the production of nitric acid.
2. Exhaust gas recovery: The exhaust gas discharged during the production process. Some of these materials have great use value if they are recycled. For example, water is used to absorb acetone vapor contained in the air to recover acetone. Another example is to use water to absorb waste hydrochloric acid. Gas to recover hydrochloric acid and so on.
3. Preparation of semi-finished products or finished products: In chemical production, absorption towers are often used to prepare gas solutions, such as absorbing hydrogen chloride with water to produce hydrochloric acid, absorbing nitrogen dioxide with water to produce nitric acid, and sulfuric acid solution to absorb sulfur trioxide to produce Take concentrated sulfuric acid, absorb formaldehyde to formalin solution and so on.

Working principle
The absorption principle of the packed absorption tower generally adopts countercurrent operation, that is, the liquid flows from top to bottom in the tower, and the gas passes from bottom to top. The countercurrent absorption can make the absorption more perfect and can obtain a larger absorption driving force.
After the gas outside the tower body enters the tower body, it enters the packing layer through the gas distributor. The packing layer has the spray liquid from the liquid distribution plate or the spray pipe, and forms a liquid film on the packing. When flowing through the gap of the packing, it comes into contact with the packing liquid film and performs absorption or neutralization reaction, and the gas continues to walk upwards. After several times of the absorbed or neutralized gas is collected by the demister, it is discharged out of the tower through the air outlet. The liquid on the liquid film is recovered to the designated place by the liquid collector. ,
Structure and characteristics
The tower body is a cylindrical tower body wrapped with FRP as a whole, without segmented connection flanges. The tower components are composed of gas distributor, packing, bracket, liquid collector, liquid distribution tray, liquid distribution pipe, demister, liquid redistributor, base, pipe fittings, etc. This tower can be equipped with online gas analyzer, PH control Control system consisting of gauges, differential pressure transmitters, pressure sensors, flow sensors, conductivity meters, level control meters, solenoid valves, inverters and control cabinets. The above control conditions are displayed in digital form on the display interface.
